LORENA RICAURTE
I was born in Ecuador with influence from other countries, so I consider myself to belong to many
different cultures and traditions.
I studied graphic design, But I believe I found my true calling in painting and sculpture, particularly
fascinated by the female form, my work celebrates femininity, showing subtlety and softness through
harmonious shapes and colors.
I get inspiration from nature; I feel like my true home , when I walk barefoot through the forest
My creative process is meticulous, involving designing, sanding, polishing, sometimes oven-bending and
finally hand painting each sculpture with acrylics and gouaches.
My love for acrylic as a medium steams from its versality, allowing me to experiment and play
with forms and hues until I achieve a perfect balance.
