Alex Quan
ALEX QUAN — Alex Quan's artistic interest began at an early age of 6, as he constantly drew, making copies from the old master drawings. His studies continued through grade school, high school, and led to attending the prestigious National Academy of Design in New York, where he excelled in painting and received the Andrew Rhodes Memorial Grant for Young Artists in 2001.
Quan is inspired to paint many different kinds of subject matter with the style of impressionism combined with realism. Whether he is painting figures, portraits or cityscapes, Quan captures the moment and the presence of the subjects with his exceptional draughtsmanship and the expressive, spontaneous brushworks that display his artistry.
Chasen Galleries invites you to enjoy the original oil paintings of this talented young artist and contact us for further information about Alex Quan.
