Mark Abildgaard
MARK ABILDGAARD — Trained in the Creative Glass Center of America in Millville, New Jersey, Mark Abildgaard uses a poured glass technique and works from clay to plaster to glass. He makes molds and fills them with crushed glass, which is melted in a kiln at 1500 degrees. Not wanting assistants, he only makes about 30 pieces a year in his studio in the foothills west of Sacramento.ilosophical traditions of “letting go of the ego” or the desire for control.
