K. HENDERSON — Recent accomplishments include the Grand Award at the 7th Annual Celebration of Western Art in San Francisco, 1st place painting at the Cherokee Heritage Center Museum, two K. Henderson paintings were chosen for the prestigious Salon International Art Show, she participated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd annual Cowgirl Up! Show & Sale at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona. K. won the "Best in Show” award during the American Plains Artists 22nd annual juried exhibit.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, artist K. Henderson now calls rural New Mexico home. Both locations have provided her with inspiration for her contemporary western themed paintings.
Her work has been in six solo museum and gallery shows and numerous group exhibitions including Smithsonian National Museum of American Indian, Salon International, Western Spirit Art Show & Sale, Cowgirl Up! Show and Sale, C.M. Russell Museum Benefit Auction, Pastel Society of the Southwest, Pastel Society of America, Mt. Oyster Club, American Academy of Equine Art , Museum of the Cherokee, the Five Civilized Tribes Museum and so on.
