25 years
Andrew Chasen is celebrating 25 years of service to artists and art collectors around the world.
April 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of the day Andrew began to sell posters out of his car on Saturdays. He began selling Southwest American artists' posters when Southwest art was popular and posters had a presence in most galleries. As this enterprise began to grow, Andrew took on many other lines of posters and eventually, more expensive fine art as he drove up and down the East coast calling on galleries, designers and art consultants. A fine art showroom for the trade in New Jersey came in 1988. The first Chasen Galleries was opened in Sarasota, FL in 1994, Richmond, VA in 1999 and Charlotte, NC in 2006.
Andrew now offers one of the most beautiful and diverse collections of international artwork and fine art glass available, including original paintings, limited edition prints, sculpture and fine art glass.
Andrew has dedicated his career to finding, promoting, and selling fine art from all over the world. His greatest satisfaction is finding the perfect artwork that his clients fall in love with!!
Below is a sampling of the artists who Chasen Galleries has been fortunate enough to represent since our early years. Click on their artwork for more.
Joanne Miller Rafferty
Joanne Miller Rafferty creates unique and exciting abstract landscapes. Within each painting, find the wonderful textures of exotic papers, acrylics, polymers, metallic powders, collage and minute glass beads that reflect light and color. At the end of the day, when artificial light takes over from natural, detect a change in Joanne's paintings due to the many layers of paint and color.
Chasen Galleries has represented Joanne for twenty years. Her versatility and evolution as an artist have maintained the strong demand for her works.
Gerhard Arnold
Master artist, Gerhard Arnold's main technique is oil painting and his work clearly shows his individual "handwriting."
Whether his landscapes, architecture or still-lifes, the viewer recognizes his adherence to tradition and the style of painting of the 19th century.
With his choice of motifs, Gerhard Arnold does not need special models, but he looks for creative possibilities near or far.
Gerhard Arnold paints only original oils on canvas and does not reproduce his work.
Chasen Galleries is proud to be the EXCLUSIVE REPRESENTATIVE for Gerhard Arnold in the United States.

John Horejs
The rich color of Horejs canvases is achieved with the use of only seven colors and white. He uses the strongest hues, and mixes all other values, tones, and shades from the basics. Horejs works ala prima - wet oil onto wet oil paint, to quickly capture the colors and emotion of the subject.
worked as a professional painter for more than twenty-five years. Studying with Sergei Bongart, Jim Wilcox and Michael Lynch, Horejs learned to capture the vastness of the western landscape and sky, as well as the patterns and colors of wild gardens.
A beloved and highly sought-after artist, John Horejs has been represented by Chasen Galleries for many years.
